In 2020, Ventana Fund awarded a $300,000 Thresholds Loan to the Collin’s Lake Ranch in Cleveland. The Ranch is dedicated to providing meaningful opportunities to people with developmental disabilities who desire to participate in a rural mountain community. This new construction loan will build and develop housing and amenities for staff members and residents on-site.
In 2020, Ventana Fund awarded a pair of Thresholds loans for a total of $575,000 to Edge Capital II for two properties, the San Mateo 7 and Newberry, that will help rehabilitate housing in high need areas in Albuquerque and Las Cruces.
The San Mateo 7 is a two building, seven unit complex with a triplex and a four plex comprised of studios, one-bedrooms and one two bedroom unit. The complex is located near Kirtland Air Force base and with rehabilitation, will preserve affordable housing near the Nob Hill Area.
Newberry is a ten unit complex with a two story fourplex and six single family units located within four blocks of the New Mexico State University Campus in Las Cruces. When rehabilitated, the complex will provide affordable updated housing options for residents and students in the area.
